Maintenance & Field Services

Keeping your remote infrastructure operational requires more than occasional check-ins. We provide comprehensive equipment maintenance and field services that ensure your towers, lidar systems, and communication equipment continue performing reliably in Canada’s harshest conditions. When your data collection or operations depend on remote systems staying online, we deliver the proactive maintenance and rapid response that prevent costly downtime.

Equipment Maintenance

We keep your data flowing. Our service teams provide regular site visits, equipment servicing, and system troubleshooting that catch issues before they become failures. Whether you’re running MET towers collecting wind resource data or maintaining communication infrastructure for remote operations, we mobilize quickly to retrieve data, diagnose problems, and restore full functionality. We troubleshoot all types of systems and understand the urgency when remote equipment goes offline. Our teams can reach sites on a moment’s notice, working in conditions and locations that stop most companies.

Remote Construction

Global Mountain Industries operates in remote and challenging terrain using a combination of 4×4 trucks, UTVs and snowmobile transport systems, including helicopter support. Our services include rope access and work-at-height operations, rock drilling and micropile foundation installations, and the construction of temporary and permanent helipads, drill platforms, slope stabilization systems, worker camps, equipment shelters, and other support structures that enable resource exploration and development in areas without easy road access.

Access Solutions

Getting workers and equipment to remote sites safely and efficiently is core to what we do. Our certified rope access technicians specialize in overcoming vertical and complex terrain challenges, providing practical and cost-effective access solutions where conventional methods are not viable. When standard access approaches fall short, we implement specialized systems to keep projects moving safely.

Our capabilities include installing temporary walkways and ladder systems in steep or vertical terrain and rigging cable highlines to transport personnel and equipment across rivers, ravines, and other obstacles. These systems enable safe movement, reduce risk, and support efficient operations in some of the most demanding environments.

Project Safety Services

Worker safety in remote locations requires more than standard protocols. At Global Mountain Industries, we provide comprehensive site risk management plans and field safety assessments, along with dedicated first aid vehicles and onsite first aid support for remote operations. Our crews are trained in swiftwater rescue, confined-space operations, and high-angle rescue, ensuring rapid, capable response in complex and high-risk environments.
